Otto Campers
Travel freely. We'll handle the camper.
Fully equipped campers for road trips across Chile and Patagonia, built around how these trips actually work.
Built from real experience on the road.
Who we are
Our story
Otto Campers comes from years of working in the camper rental world in Chile. Tito, who runs the operation, has been inside that work for a long time, helping people get on the road, watching what actually happens once the trip starts, and seeing the same patterns repeat.
He knows how a route can feel when it fits, and where things usually get messy when the plan slips. Tight timing, gear that was almost right, or details that only show up after you have left the city are often part of that story.
Traveling by camper is one of the best ways to move through this part of the world. It is also easier to get wrong than most people expect on day one. Otto grew out of frustration with that gap. The trip on paper rarely matches the trip in the truck.
That is the space Otto was built for. Fewer rough edges, more road in front of you.
How we work
A better way to travel
With Otto, the aim is straightforward. You land, you pick up the camper, and you leave. No half-finished setup, no scavenging for basics the night before you head south, no losing a day to problems you could have sorted earlier.
- ·Campers that leave ready, not half-prepared
- ·Kitchen, power, water, and storage thought through for real distance
- ·A few formats so the rig fits the trip, not the brochure
- ·Someone to talk to before you go, and support if something shifts on the road
Less time figuring things out. More time on the road.
Fleet
Choose how you want to travel
Not every trip asks for the same thing. We group our campers in three bands so you can match the vehicle to the route and the rhythm you want, not only to headcount.
Otto Escape
Lighter on its feet, simpler to park in small towns and tight camps. A good fit when you want to move often and keep things nimble.
Otto Scout
A balance most people can live inside for weeks, with enough room to breathe and still straightforward handling on gravel and mountain passes.
Otto Backcountry
More space, more autonomy, more carrying capacity for long hauls and rough weather. Built for when the road is the main part of the trip.
Everything we run is chosen with Chile and Patagonia in mind, from long gaps between services and real fuel ranges to roads that punish the wrong compromise.
Why us
Why Otto Campers
- ✓Camper travel is the work, not a side project we bolted onto something else
- ✓Vehicles picked for how they behave on real roads, not how they look in a listing
- ✓Kit that earns its place on a long trip, not gear you will wish you had left behind
- ✓Help while you plan, and a line open if the weather or the border throws you a curve
- ✓We think about your whole loop, not only the moment we hand over the keys
This is not only about renting a vehicle. It is about making the trip work.
We know it's a big decision
If you have never rented a camper for something this long, you probably have a list of questions. That is normal. Most people do.
- Which rig actually fits what you want to do
- How many days are enough without turning the whole thing into a race
- How to think about the route when passes close or ferries run on their own clock
- What happens if you need to change plans
We would rather talk through that with you early than leave you guessing. The goal is a plan you can trust, not a quick yes and a quiet hope it holds.
How we see travel
We believe in a different way to travel
A trip where you are not locked into every night months in advance. Where you can move a rest day when the wind picks up, or stay put when a valley turns out better than you expected.
Where the stretch between two towns matters as much as the viewpoint at the end. We like that kind of travel, and we build Otto for people who want it too.
